Student Presentations:

Sara Reynolds - "Conformal Mappings in the Analysis of Leaf Structure "
Abstract
Following the work of Nechaev and Voituriez, we construct a conformal mapping from a regular Euclidean hexagon to a heptagon in the Poincar\'{e} unit disk. We also discuss attempts to analyze leaf growth by isometrically embedding the heptagon in Euclidean 3-space.

Pam Welch- "Graph Theory and the Konigsberg Bridge Problem "
Abstract
In this talk, the famous problem of the Konigsberg Bridges will be discussed along with how the first developments of Graph Theory resulted from it.
