Study Abroad at Pescara The Foreign Languages and Literatures Department of Nazareth College, in conjunction with the Università degli Studi G. d Annunzio, offers an academic year in Pescara, Italy. Italian majors and non-majors alike may take advantage of the extensive program of courses offered during the Fall and Spring semesters. The courses taken at the Universita degli Studi may vary in degrees of complexity and intensity and can be taken from any of the following departments: Literature and Philosophy, Foreign Languages and Literatures, Economics and Political Science, and Architectures and Chemistry. From the first day, students are fully integrated into Italian life. Activities and field trips are organized, and students in the program can expect to participate regularly in social and cultural events with Italian college students. Students who are interested in the combined study of Italian and business management are encouraged to do their business internship in Pescara in a local business setting. The Internship Program is organized in conjunction with the Pescara Chamber of Commerce.
The program abroad in Italy was established in the Spring of 1997 in order to offer an opportunity for further study to American students interested in the language and culture of Italy. Students may choose to study abroad for the yearlong program, starting in September, or they may choose a semester program.
Nazareth College encourages its students to grow both academically and culturally through its Study Abroad Program in Pescara.
