The Catskills
The Catskills contain 3,000 miles of mountains and forests, making it an ideal place for outdoor activities, including hiking, camping, and skiing in the winter. Rivers wind lazily between the mountains forming lakes and impressive waterfalls.
One attraction that you probably won't find anywhere else is the Kaatskill Kaleidoscope, which is the world's largest kaleidoscope measuring at 65 feet tall. The massive kaleidoscope was made from a converted grain silo. One a somewhat quiet area, the enormous kaliedoscope now draws enormous crowds.
For other types of fun, the area also features a giant waterpark, the Zoom Flume. Spend hot days lazing away in this cool park.
