The ACS Style Guide, 2nd edition (American Chemical Society)
American Medical Association Manual of Style, 9th edition (AMA Style)
The Chicago Manual of Style, 15th edition
A Manual for Writers of Term Papers, Theses, and Dissertations (Turabian)
MLA Style Manual (Modern Language Association)
The New York Public Library Writer's Guide to Style and Usage
Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 5th edition (APA Style)
Scientific Style and Format, 6th edition (CBE, or Council of Biological Editors)
Writing Papers in the Biological Sciences, 3rd edition (also known as McMillan)
Additional copies may be found at the Reserve Desk, located on the Lower Level.
Standard English dictionaries may be found on stands throughout the Library. A variety of English language dictionaries and thesauri are also shelved in the 423's in the Reference collection on the Main Floor.
Dictionaries and helpful guides for languages other than English are shelved in the 400's in both the Reference and Circulating collections on the Main Floor.
