Sprouts
A Mathematics and Science Interdisciplinary Assignment

On April 13, 2007, students from biology, chemistry, and mathematics classes participated in a poster session to present their projects from the spring 2007 semester. Throughout the semester, interdisciplinary teams of students from these classes worked together on these projects.

The purpose of the Sprouts Project is to observe the growth and development of several different kinds of sprouts including: Alfalfa, Amaranth, Beans, Adzuki, Chickpeas, Mung, Soybeans, Broccoli, Buckwheat, Red Clover, Pop Corn, Green Lentils, Red Lentils, Millet, Oat Groats, Quinoa, Radish, Rye, Sunflower, Hard red spring Wheat, and Wheat berries.
